cat eye surgery

It is a delicate cosmetic procedure that aims to lengthen the eye opening while raising the outer corner of the eye. This results in a more seductive look and accentuates almond-shaped eyes.

How is the process?

The operation is often performed under local anesthesia and during the operation the doctor uses extreme precision to raise the outer corner of the eyes where the eyelids meet, (otherwise known as the arch). A small incision is made in the outer corner of the eye to allow access to structures, including the Canthal tendon. The surgeon carefully cuts the tendon and then stretches it to a higher position, and secures it with sutures before closing the incision.
