There are two ways to perform a tummy tuck

  • People with an ideal weight, so that the weight of the fat mass does not exceed 30% of the normal weight.
  • Women who suffer from cracks caused by pregnancy.
  • People who suffer from flabbiness in the abdominal area after losing a lot of weight.
  • Persons who are free from diseases, such as; High blood pressure, diabetes, or immunodeficiency.

Tips before having a tummy tuck

  • Refrain from taking any type of blood thinner, such as; Alcohol, green tea, or a group of vitamins, because they contain vitamin E and vitamin A, in order to avoid bleeding during the operation.
  • Do not take stimulants, such as caffeine or Arabic coffee, because the person who takes stimulants is difficult to sedate.
  • Stop taking any kind of medical drugs that cause blood thinning, for a week before the operation.
  • Make sure to eat a healthy and balanced diet for a sufficient period before performing the tummy tuck operation, in order to avoid complications during the operation.
  • Refrain from smoking for a month, because it affects the oxygen levels in the blood, as it reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood needed for recovery.

‏Tips after tummy tuck surgery

  • Regularly wearing a medical abdominal corset, to help reduce swelling and speed up the recovery process, for a period of at least six weeks.
  • Stay away from strenuous exertion or strenuous exercise, for a period of two months at most.
  • Continuing to refrain from smoking for two months after the operation, so as not to affect the recovery process.
  • Not to carry heavy objects, to avoid any damage to the tissues, for a period of eight weeks.
  • Refrain from trying moisturizing creams in the abdomen and waist areas, to avoid an allergic reaction.
  • It is necessary to sleep with a certain bend dictated by the doctor, according to the patient’s condition. It is also forbidden to lie in a straight position.
  • For women; Pregnancy should be avoided completely after the tummy tuck procedure.
  • Refrain from swimming for at least two months.
  • Be careful not to remove the tuberculosis for a week, in order to get rid of all the fluids in the abdominal area
