Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty aims to reduce the nose in addition to treating any medical problems that the nose suffers from, such as; Breathing problems, sinus problems, in addition to any congenital abnormalities of the nose.
The person who undergoes rhinoplasty must be at least 18 years old.
Candidates for rhinoplasty
- People who suffer from the problem of a large and wide nose.
- Those who suffer from congenital malformations of the nose since birth.
- People who have had a broken or deformed nose as a result of traumatic accidents.
- Patients with breathing problems or sinus problems.
- Patients suffering from some cancerous diseases that affect the base of the nose.
- People who are exposed to diseases that may lead to nose erosion and deformation, such as diseases (tuberculosis, smallpox and leprosy).
Tips before rhinoplasty
- Consult a doctor and undergo the tests and examinations that the doctor requires from you.
- Stop smoking for a period of (two weeks - a month) before undergoing rhinoplasty.
- Refrain from drinking alcohol before the operation
- Not to take blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin and ibuprofen, before rhinoplasty
- Take vitamin C daily for a while before performing a rhinoplasty.
Tips after rhinoplasty and recovery phase
- Take the medicines and antibiotics prescribed by the doctor regularly to avoid any infection
- Make cold water compresses on the eyes and nose to reduce swelling.
- Avoid violent activities until the wound is completely healed.
- Eating more foods rich in fiber, such as vegetables and fruits.
- Keeping your head elevated for a few weeks after the operation
